Bridal Gowns Through the Years

St Andrew’s Church in Waiuku are having a fundraising event called Bridal Gowns Through the Tears.

Waiuku Museum are loaning some of their wedding gowns for this display.  Details of the display are below.

 

Volunteers Wanted!!!!

Volunteers are needed to help cover the opening hours during the weekend.

This involves being at the desk by the front door from 1:30pm to 4pm on a Saturday or Sunday.

Duties would be every month or every second month.

You would be put with a experienced volunteer, so no need to worry about what do.

Discussion on Land Wars at Papakura

Papakura and Districts Historical Society are giving a talk on the Land Wars, details below.

We would like to draw your attention to a talk, to be given by Dr Michelle Smith, on the Land Wars around Papakura and Districts in 1863. The focus will be on local families and individuals, involved in and affected by the events of the latter half of 1863, which led in to the Waikato Wars.
