This is yet another poem about Waiuku that was published in “In the Bush” by Ernest L. Eyre in 1921. It may give an old and incorrect pronunciation of Waiuku, but the poem is quaint.

The end of this makes me think the man left the woman he spoke of and left her to stay and die in waiuku? Hard to understand.
